Tom Hom, chairman of the Tom Hom Group is a native San Diegan. He was elected to the San Diego City Council in 1962, served as deputy mayor, and later won a seat in the California State Assembly.

Hom was among a core group of people with the vision, energy, optimism and drive to turn San Diego's once tired downtown into the bustling, active center it is today.

Honored with a long list of civic awards, Hom's résumé includes tributes from San Diego's Centre City Development Corporation, Gaslamp Quarter Foundation, the San Diego Board of Realtors and the Downtown Partner's Association.

  Will Newbern: rehabilitation pro, builder, SRO authority

THG President Will Newbern has also been a part of the revitalization of San Diego, spearheading the rehabilitation of buildings in the Gaslamp Quarter, the city's historic core.

Newbern has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, property management and sales.

As chief executive officer of the Tom Hom Group, Newbern wears many hats: organization, operations, investor relations, government affairs, construction management and new project development.

A licensed general contractor, Newbern's opinions on SRO construction and operations are sought nationwide by housing planners and the media.
